A free screening of Tyler Perry’s 2008 movie adaptation of Meet The Browns will hit the Manchester area tomorrow. Meet The Browns is a romantic-comedy that follows a single mother who takes her family to the US state of Georgia for her father’s funeral where they meet the fun-loving Brown family. The film is based on the play of the same name, written by the director. This one-off special screening will have an interval mid-way through the film where refreshments – including popcorn, drinks and homemade cakes and biscuits – will be on sale. The event is organised by the Grenada Overseas Association Mcr, a group founded in the late 1950s by immigrants who have made a life for themselves in Manchester. Booking is essential – particularly as there are only 19 tickets left.
