Immersive art experience and pop up bar don’t usually go hand in hand but Italian premium beer makers Peroni Nastro Azzurro are never ones to do things by halves. Setting up in Spinningfields Square for a four day event they are aiming to raise the bar, so to speak, when it comes to pop ups. Enlisting the help of a trio of award-winning artists to create artworks using Google’s Tilt Brush technology, visitors to The House of Peroni can virtually step within the pieces to explore them before being given the chance to try their own hand with this new tech. Each artist has their own distinct style with Brit artist Carne Griffiths coming from an embroidery background and Italian pair Fabio Giampietro and Peeta studying ‘Futurismo’ and graffiti respectively to build something truly unique. The artistry doesn’t stop with the décor though as award winning ‘master of mixology’ Simone Caporale is on hand to create original cocktails such as the Oro Liquido (Liquid Gold) which glows bright on this experimental menu as well as twists on originals like the Italian classic Bellini, here called the Peroni Peony and featuring white peach, grape, peony and magnolia flowers. If that’s not to your particular tastes then there will of course be plenty of the crisp blue riband lager to sate you, but with all this it’s just a shame that it’s only popping up for a short time.
