The Northern Quarter’s Common bar is hosting four events this week, all of which are 100 PER CENT free. The fun starts with a Colouring Club on Wednesday, followed by Pica Post zine launch party and sizzlin’ DJ sets from OneFiveEight collective and Jeff O’Toole over the weekend. Common members get half price burgers on Tuesdays, and drinks offers and discounts at other times. Read more and sign up here.

Wed 24 Feb | Colouring Club | 5-8pm | FREE
Fancy taking part in a creative meet-up where you can try your hand at illustrating, doodling, or just hanging out? Colouring Club is for everyone, whether you are an artist or haven’t picked up a pencil since primary school.  Have a go at drawing, colouring, collage, cutting out, sketching – and much more. This month’s theme is the collaborative surrealist drawing game, ‘Exquisite Corpse’ – where everyone takes turns to draw different heads, bodies and legs. Colouring Club is run by colouring enthusiasts, Camille Smithwick and Amy Minto.

Thu 25 Feb | Pica Post 10 Launch Party | 7-11pm | FREE
Pica~Post fanzine’s 10th issue is out now. The new zine has a theme of ‘space’ and includes an interview with Reebok founder Joe Foster, an article about French space-rock, plenty of drawings of aliens and a few other bits that should hopefully expand your mind. Tuck into a fun launch party with DJs, free samples from local brewery Cloudwater from 7pm until late.
