People on the lookout for unique presents should head down to Chorlton this Saturday for the Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair. A popular feature in the area’s seasonal calendar, the fair is now in its seventh year, this time taking at the picturesque venue of St Clements Church on Edge Lane. Being Chorlton, this is a rather classy affair, with stalls selling bespoke jewellery, personalised crafts, framed artworks, and photography. Special seasonal wares include greetings cards and decorations. A lot of what you’ll find is handmade, locally-sourced, and upcycled. You won’t have to feel guilty about indulging in the mince pies and mulled wine, as all the proceeds from the refreshments, as well as the hiring out of the stalls, will go to fund the next Chorlton Arts Festival. FYI: the organisers of the Festival are currently looking for submissions for next year’s event, so anyone wishing to contribute should visit the website below.

Sat 28 Nov, St. Clement’s Church, Edge Lane, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, M21 9AE, 11.00am – 4.30pm, FREE entry, www.chorltonartsfestival.com
