It’s a Wrap! At Manchester Museum
The Manchester Museum’s Egyptian exhibit closes its doors this week, but they’re giving it a good send off. Performers will inhabit the roles of gods and figures of Egyptian legend in a multimedia performance that includes poetry, spoken word, music and film. Amongst this is a screening of the 1974 afrofuturist cult classic film ‘Space is the Place’, made by progressive jazz musician Sun Ra. The event ends with a recreation of Ancient Egyptian burial ritual in the Museum’s Courtyard.
