Free Coffee at Freshly Chopped
New health food café Freshly Chopped opened their doors on Piccadilly Plaza recently, but their official opening doesn’t take place until this Tuesday. To celebrate, they’re offering free coffee all morning from 9am. They’re not just offering the basic stuff either, the deal also includes their Atkins-friendly buttery bulletproof coffee and their specialist superfood lattés. Make sure you get down early, because this only last til midday.

No More Normal Film Screening at School of Electronic Music
Salford’s School of Electronic Music hosts this free film screening on Thursday evening. No More Normal is a Red Bull Music Film and Arts Council-backed documentary on the making of the album of the same name from grime artist and producer Swindle (pictured). Swindle himself will be present at the screening, and taking part in a Q&A session alongside Elijah, the co-founder of independent record label Butterz.

SFTOC 2019 Unveiling Party at YES
Salford city-centre festival Sounds from the Other City celebrates its fifteenth year in 2019 and although it’s still a couple of months away, the lineup is being announced this Thursday during a big party at YES. Confirmed for the party are a number of musical acts who may (or may not) be performing at the festival proper including electropop group Menage a Trois and psych band Good Afternoon. They will be accompanied on the night by DJ sets from the likes of Now Wave and Me Gusta.
