The University of Manchester hosts this fascinating talk on Monday evening on the subjects of hacking and cybersecurity. Former hackers and security experts come together for this discussion, aimed at security-conscious businesses and other interested parties. Amongst the invited speakers are former Anonymous member Mike Jones and Alan Merrett from the National Cybercrime Unit. Food, refreshments and networking opportunities are provided on the day.

A Certain Ratio’s One-Deck Wednesday at Electrik
Jez and Martin from Factory Records produced punk-funk band A Certain Ratio come to Chorlton’s Electrik bar this Wednesday for another instalment of the venue’s weekly One Deck Wednesday DJ night. The rules of the night are simple: One record deck, all vinyl, no mixing. Jez and Martin will be digging into their vast personal collections, amassed over 40 years in the music industry, to bring some rare musical gems along to play for you.
