New Queers Eve at Common (pictured)
More free new year’s fun, as LGBTQ+ party planners Queer The Room take over Common on Edge Street for a night packed to the brim with tacky, kitschy fun. Rebecca Swarray of Rebecca.Never.Becky and Jüngle Julia will be providing the tunes on the night, which promises to be a fun, inclusive blowout with plenty of prizes (boozy and non-boozy) being given away on the night.

Free Vibes at Band on the Wall
On Thursday night, Band on the Wall host their first Free Vibes of 2019. Free Vibes is the venue’s regular showcase for up-and-coming acts. Topping the bill is local band Bethlehem Casuals, who trade in urban-infused folk rock, and accompanying them on the night will be electropop duo Tonica and singer-songwriter Drew Selby. As always, the show will be closed out with a set from Amazing Radio DJ Shell Zenner.
Thu 3 Jan, Band on the Wall, 25 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JZ, 7.30pm -11pm, www.eventbrite.co.uk
