Free family fun: (Re)Action Lab at Manchester Art Gallery
If you’re looking for family events this Easter week, Manchester Art Gallery is running sessions every afternoon Monday through Thursday. (Re)Action focuses on the five senses and how easily they can be tricked. These workshops are very ‘hands on’, with participants being invited to make hands from clay. There will also possibly be an opportunity to shift your perception with a virtual reality headset. These are drop-in sessions, so no need to book in advance.

Retro gaming night: MediaCity Rumble at The Landing
MediaCity workspace and community hub The Landing host this monthly retro gaming night, and this Thursday is their latest one. They offer a range of 80s and 90s gaming classics, such as Super Street Fighter, alongside some modern VR experiences. There’s not just games on offer, as beer and pizza are also promised in this celebration of digital sloth.

Blizzard Comedy Night at Gullivers
Brand new inclusive comedy night Blizzard Comedy comes to Gullivers on Oldham Street this Thursday night. Host Jonny Collins presents local alternative stalwarts Red Redmond and Tony Wright, as well as relative newcomers Amy Vreeke and Pete Selwood, and Canadian comic Brendon Craig. Headlining is Amy Gledhill (pictured), who is a Caroline Aherne award winner and one half of critically-acclaimed sketch group The Delightful Sausage.
