Suffragette City Exhibition Launch at The Refuge
Our first pick of free things to do in Manchester this weekend is the launch of a new photography exhibition at The Refuge. It’s part of Suffragette City, an ongoing project celebrating the achievements of Mancunian women that’s set to mark 100 years of women’s suffrage. This exhibition focuses on the women of Manchester’s music scene: Not just musicians, but venue owners, sound engineers, DJs and producers. The opening celebrations go on long into the night with DJ sets from Abigail Ward, Kath McDermott and Paulette, which is bound to make an excellent party.
