Wormhole Comedy Night at Hold Fast
The comedy night formerly known as Shaarrkk returns to nautical-themed basement bar Hold Fast under a new moniker. Wormhole Comedy provides a night of laughs courtesy of hosts Evan Desmarais and Cameron McLeod, who are joined by a roster of up-and-comers alongside more established comedians trying out new jokes.

Local charity Manchester City of Sanctuary hosts this event – one in a line of ‘Sanctuary Kitchen’ culinary events – focusing on the food of Iran. An international collection of chefs, all themselves asylum seekers, will be cooking up a menu of Persian treats and delicacies, showcasing both the wonderful diversity of food from the region and the culinary talents of the chefs. This a is a pay as you feel event, so you’re encouraged to give generously.

Retrofit Workshop at Levenshulme Inspire

Peterloo 200 Years On at John Rylands Library
This evening event at the John Rylands Library on Thursday explores 200 years since the Peterloo Massacre. The Massacre, which happened on 16 August 1819, kick-started a new chapter in the history of English radicalism and led to the creation of the Manchester Guardian. Speakers Katrina Navickas and Robert Poole will be discussing the impact of the massacre on British history and culture.
