Last Days of Elvis at Fuel Café Bar
You can see out the bank holiday with a good noisy gig this Monday at Withington’s Fuel Café Bar. Last Days of Elvis and Party Fears are currently undertaking a tour of UK and Ireland. Both hailing from Berlin, Last Days of Elvis play brooding electronica and Party Fears play more upbeat indie pop with ‘funny accents’, as they describe it. Supporting them on the night is Leeds-based art rock band Kumiko, who have two years of gigging and two solid EPs under their belt.

Means&3rd at Eastern Bloc Records
The Northern Quarter’s Eastern Bloc Records are hosting another of their free seshs in-store, and for this occasion they’re calling on one of their staff to provide the soundtrack. When he’s not ringing up the purchases of Manchester’s hungry music lovers, Means&3rd is a respected techno, house and electronica DJ, who’s currently resident at Manchester party Bohemian Grove. With the tight dimensions of the record shop venue, it’s likely to fill up early so we recommend arriving on-time to guarantee entry.
