Flim Nite’s Titanic at 3MT
Flim Nite is one of the city’s best spoken word night’s, taking place in the Affleck’s Palace microtheatre 3MT. The twist of Flim Nite is that each event is based around a particular film, with all the contributing performers putting their own spin on a popular film. This time the Oscar-hungry Titanic gets the Flim treatment. Get down and see what they make of this classic slice of 90s cinema.

Sitcom Masterclass at MediaCity
Ever fancied penning your own sitcom? This week the Salford Sitcom Showcase is running at MediaCity – shedding a spotlight on the next generation of comedy shows – and on Wednesday afternoon BBC Writersroom is running a series of free masterclasses, covering everything from pitching to development to children’s comedy and delivered by some of the North’s biggest comedy producers. Registration is essential, but this is likely to be popular, so registration doesn’t guarantee a seat.

Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1 car at the Odeon
Ahead of the release next week of the rebooted Ghostbusters, the film’s icon Ecto-1 car arrives at the Odeon for photo ops galore. This identical copy of the original 1980s Cadillac Fleetwood Station Wagon will be parked inside the Printworks, which will also host an exclusive ghostwalk by leading UK ghostwalker Flecky Bennett at 8pm for those feeling brave enough.
