Bit skint after that five-week month? Delve into some music, bikes and book with these freebies lined up for the weekend here in Manchester.

Oxjam Weekender at Oddest
This weekend at Oddest you’ll find two days of free live music in the heart of Chorlton as the Oxjam Weekender takes over local boozer Oddest. Spanning reggae, dub, soul, funk, ska, indie, folk, nu jazz and more, the weekender uses eclectic local music to help instigate global change, welcoming the likes of reggae/dub outfit Nucleus Roots, Birmingham’s The Borgias, folk duo Finch and The Moon (pictured) and funk group White Sugar on Saturday, before Sunday sees folk/jazz trio Moody Elf, Isaac Bloomfield, Russell Swallow and others take to the stage. Team it with a cracking roast dinner and a global food selection and you’re onto a weekend winner.
Sat 3 – Sun 4 Oct, Oddest, 414 – 416 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, M21 0SD, Sat: 3.30pm – close, Sun: From 12.30pm, FREE (Donations welcome), www.facebook.com
