Alan Braxe, French electro guru beloved of the Justice generation, is appearing live in Cinnabar’s new nightspot, Vox. Yep, this unlikely pairing sees the co-writer of Stardust’s Music Sounds Better With You (with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter) wheeling out the finest French electro pop for one night only in the shiny new venue near the City of Manchester Stadium. Fans of club nights like Contort Yourself and Invest in Property will his recall remixes of the likes of Goldfrapp, Röyksopp, Test Icicles, Shakedown, Kylie Minogue and Justice. In short, he was a massive name on the nu rave scene, and recent sets – such as his late 2012 Boiler Room showcase – have seen him enrich his trademark electro sound with disco and tech beats.
