Quays Culture, a programme that showcases international artists, is presenting Future City 2015, a two-day digital arts event at Salford Quays. Taking place in mid-March, the showpiece is a display called PixelPyros, which will use projectors and lasers to create virtual pyrotechnics on 60-foot-wide screen. The show will be interactive: members of the audience can touch the screen to fire off digital rockets. PixelPyros is designed by Bafta Award-winner Seb Lee-Delisle, who will be hosting a free discussion about his work at the Lowry. Multi-disciplinary artist Stuart Childs will also be on hand, making personalised artworks for visitors to take home.

PixelPyros: Fri 13 – Sat 14 Mar, Piazza at the Quays, MediaCityUK, Salford, 6pm – 10pm, FREE
Talk by Seb Lee-Delisle: Fri 13 Mar, The Lowry’s Hexagon Room, MediaCityUK, Salford, 5.30pm – 6.30pm, FREE
