Presented as a joint venture between Manchester School of Theatre and Manchester School of Art, Future Flares delves into the real-world impact that theatre can have beyond a stage illusion.

Described as a globe-trotting reflection on destruction and meaning and an international fusion of workshop and performance, the festival explores how theatre might just help with some of the biggest questions facing us today.

Running from Wed 24 Jan – Fri 26 Jan, the in-depth programme spans everything from a guided tour of a book, staged performance art, large-scale exploration of performance and image making and more.

Future Flares Festival

Alongside the public performances, Future Flares Festival includes a public panel discussion, as well as a presentation and creative workshops for Manchester Metropolitan University students.

Performances are open to all and you can find details of the full programme and individual ticketed events here.
