The Levy Market elves are going into overdrive in the countdown to Christmas, in preparation for the final market before Christmas which takes place on Friday (18 Dec) from 4pm – 9pm. For this festive spectacular, there will be expect carol singers, live music and the usual bounty of gift ideas and yuletide foods from around the world, including the Polish pierogi dumplings and mulled wine. A special competition will be taking place, whereby if you buy a hot drink, there may be a numbered red nose in the bottom of your mug, which you can exchange for anything from a craft beer hamper to a surprise gift. Traders include the Old Northern Candle Co, selling hand made, soy-based aromatics, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Uprising Bakehouse. The extra star on the Levy Market tree is its focus on local traders. By shopping at Levy Market, you’re supporting Levenshulme’s economy as well as bringing a smile to the faces of your friends and family when they open their presents on Christmas Day.
