Fancy having your movements turned into a piece of artwork? Artist Daksha Patel will be taking her work on digital systems used to map the human body to the next level this month and she’s calling for volunteers to be part of it. Working in Cornerhouse’s event space, the Annexe, Daksha will be creating drawings generated by biosensors worn by participants’ to trace their movements as they wander around and respond to the space around them. Data from the sensors will be projected in real time onto the easel upon Daksha will work, using the data to create a new work. No need to sign up, just turn up on the day and collect a sensor. Or if you simply want to watch the work being created, the Annexe will be accessible to see the work in progress and to ask Daksha any questions as she goes along.
