With the North West film community thriving at the moment, now is a better time than ever to get in on Cornerhouse’s regular regional film-makers night, Filmed Up, as it returns in September. With the films screened on the evening being selected from an open submission by the audiences themselves, Filmed Up is a great place to showcase your skills and meet other film-makers – with any genre accepted, and a share of the box office takings the reward for selected films. So if you fancy your chances at having your film on the bill and getting your work noticed, here’s your opportunity. Simply fill in the form on Cornerhouse’s website and submit it – along with a DVD or link to your work online – before 5pm on Wednesday 14 August. Or if you’re not a filmmaker but want to know more about the North West’s filmmaking scene, pop along to the event in September and discover some of the region’s best talent.
