There’s a twisted group of people who are trying to organise the biggest water fight in history and they’ve decided that late May in Platt Fields Park will be the best time and place to stage it. Judging by the online response, it looks like it will actually be very well attended, so you won’t be there on your own like a drip (ha!). If the weather’s bad, the date will be pushed back until the conditions improve. I guess they don’t want people to be wet before they start firing water at each other. Keep an eye on the Facebook page (below) for any updates. The page doesn’t have many details at the moment, but what do you really need to know? Just turn up appropriately armed, and maybe don’t wear anything that’s dry-clean-only. There are fights (of the water variety) organised in other cities too, so this is a great chance to be part of a great nationwide moistening.
