On Wed 2 Oct, acclaimed Manchester-based musical theatre writer Graham Lappin returns to Hope Mill with a one-off concert featuring his best-loved songs spanning a remarkable career.

Fresh from the whirlwind success of his song cycle Climb Way Up after its Hope Mill premiere in 2022, Lappin presents a brand new live show brimming with his distinctive style, as he performs pieces from The Rise, Climb Way Up and his latest production, Reliable Fictions, alongside a company of stellar emerging musical theatre talent.

Born in Stockport, Lappin carved out a sparkling career in musical theatre as a performer before turning his attention to writing. Alongside his impressive ouevre as a playwright, he is also the book writer for Proud: a conversion therapy musical, which is currently in pre-production.

Joining Graham onstage will be his musical director Tom Pieczora, as well as special guests including Sarah Pearson, who starred in the original production of Climb Way Up, alongside newcomers Ailbhe Cooke, Holly Lawless and Paisley James.
