It’s always pleasant when something you love begins to grow – and so, one of Manchester’s favourite eateries is (kind of, a little bit) expanding. Australasia – which opened in 2011 -has drawn in crowds with it’s unique pacific rim cuisine, and they’ll be hoping that new bar Grand Pacific will do the same when it opens alongside it on Deansgate. Described as a ‘sultry bar and garden’, a secluded staircase will link the two venues, both owned by bar and restaurant company Living Ventures. There’s no opening date yet, but we’re assured that some of the lighter bites from the main menu will be available to order, all served from a purposely designed long bar, all made to look like a perfect beach hideaway. We’re getting thirsty (and hungry) in anticipation already.
