A free creative mixer built especially for creatives with a connection to Salford heads to the brand-new GRIT Studios space this July.

Having recently taken over the former Natwest bank site in Salford Shopping Centre, GRIT is committed to offering affordable studio facilities to grassroots artists and makers taking up residence in the area, with room for over 20 of Salford’s ‘Grafters & Crafters’, adding to their existing spaces in Stockport and Manchester city centre.

On Thu 24 Jul, the team will host the latest edition of the free Salford Creative Mixer, uniting GRIT residents and fellow creatives and connecting them with an array of exciting opportunities and networks across Salford.

There will also be open studios during the mixer, so people will be able to meet the residents and get an insight into their work, which spans everything from fine art and mosaics to screen printing and textiles.

Also joining for the evening will be the creative assistants from the Young Company, who’ll be sharing more about a new piece of work they are making with Breaking Barriers, as well as details on a Young Artists mixer coming to Salford and how people can get involved.

Entry is free, but the event is ticketed. There’ll also be free drinks for attendees from 6pm while stocks last. Book your spot using the button below.
