This month’s Group Therapy comedy club is a great chance to catch at least two of the greatest acts currently working on the UK scene. David Trent is ‘one of the most talked about men in British comedy,’ according to the Guardian, and is sure to set the stage alight on Saturday with his made-up accolades and buckets of self-aggrandising. Thankfully his claim that everyone in the world thinks he’s ‘really brilliant, like a genius’ is only unsubstantiated because not everyone in the world has seen him. As soon as they do, we’re sure they’ll all be in agreement. Joining as MC will be Ed Gamble. The slimmer half of comedy double act Peacock and Gamble, Ed has just starred in a hilarious improvisational show for BBC America called ‘Almost Royal’ and will be flexing those skills on stage no doubt this Saturday.
