Most second birthday parties are to be avoided as best as you can – unless you are in command of one of your own brood of terrible toddlers. Tears, tantrums and shaky motor skills go hand in hand with such events, and to an extent apply to the second birthday party of Manchester’s favourite comedy night. Group Therapy, that last bastion of comedic integrity (no stags or hens allowed) is entering its second year and to celebrate will be putting on another amazing line-up including silver tongued charmer, Nish Kumar. But nabbing one of the UK’s hottest of stand-ups is but the tip of this hilarious iceberg as they also welcome the mad props of Ben Target, 2012 New Act of the Year Pat Cahill, the absurd and totally original Ed Aczel and rising star Mark Stephenson. Stuart Laws will be overseeing the party atmosphere and goodie bags include a Bill Burr DVD, and nothing else. There will be cake -and not an infant in sight.
