Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled due to the CWS city centre fire. Watch this space for a new date. This Saturday (17 Oct) will see the first ever public event take place at Manchester’s newest public space. Sadler’s Yard (between the CIS Tower, New Century House and Hanover Street opposite Victoria station), part of the ongoing £800 million NOMA development will host the first ever GRUB Food Fair. The event will feature a selection of Manchetser’s finest food and drink operators with Street food from Diddakoi Travelling Bar (Mediterranean BBQ), Fritto (authentic Italian street food) and Rum Dogs (a side project of Hawksmoor Manchester Head Chef Liam Kirwin – who incidentally, also sells his own sauces at Frost’s Butchers in Chorlton) as well as a selection of amazing cakes, cold produce and fresh bread for taking home. GRUB have partnered up with local brewers Blackjack Beers to provide a craft ale bar heavily stocked with other Manchester favourites including Runaway Brewery & Marble Beers. There will also be a handmade soda bar supplied by Steep Soda Co and Deansgate’s Grindsmith will be on hand with their artisan coffee trike for those a little too delicate for booze. In addition to the food and drink lineup the event will also host live music (from The Easy Stride Band & The Happy Soul), DJs, carnival games, face painting as well as craft workshops.
