Well, it finally happened, Manchester got its long-awaited second Michelin Star at the 2025 ceremony.

Joining Mana, which had previously held the city’s only star since 2019, Skof from acclaimed chef Tom Barnes earned the prestigious accreditation within its first year of opening.

If you do fancy venturing a little further out of the city, though, or you inevitably can’t a table anytime soon at either Mana or Skoff there are plenty of incredible spots scattered around the north.

Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume continues to be a benchmark of excellence, retaining its three-star status, its third coming in 2022m during the team’s 20th anniversary year. Praised for its ever-evolving menu, much of the produce showcased throughout the menu comes from Rogan’s nearby 12-acre farm, a choice that also earned the restaurant a Michelin Green Star back in 2021.
