Stacked sandwiches, the freshest seafood and indulgent slices, we’ve picked out some of the newest food and drink spots in and around Manchester that you need to try.
From the team at popular Ancoats brunch and cocktail spot Mule, comes a new late-night ramen concept going by the name Lucky Ramen.
The menu is pretty simple, five delicious, hearty ramens swimming in eight-hour broth and a handful of sides that include tried and tested favourites like gyozas and tempura crab. Yes please.

We’ve been particularly excited about this one since it first got announced. A collaboration between Wandering Palate and the Butcher’s Quarter, BQ Farm and Fish is a new artisan butcher, fishmonger and tasting room in Monton Village.
Not only does the new spot stock the freshest possible meat and fish, but the team also ensure everything on their counter comes from ethical and sustainable suppliers. Perfect as BBQ season gets underway.

After five years of earning glowing reviews as they honed their pop up offering, Stretford Canteen will open up a permanent spot in Stretford Mall later this spring.
Touted as a relaxed, home bistro, local produce and sustainability are at the forefront of the offering, with a mixture of British and European dishes shaping the ever-changing seasonal menu. There’ll be a return of the supper clubs that have proved such a huge hit for the team too.

The Lucky Mamas story is definitely one of our favourites. After building a loyal following by serving spectacular pizza from a trailer in their back garden in Eccles, Lucky Mamas have opened their first bricks and mortar venue in Chorlton.
Go show them your support, if anyone deserves it, it’s these guys.

It’s been a long time coming, but Levenshulme’s once disused South train station has been transformed into a charming cycle cafe / bar.
A real labour of love, a community group have been working on the project for years and it’s finally paid off. Expect teas, coffee, craft beers and cafe classics, all alongside a bike workshop and busy events calendar filled with live music.

The self-proclaimed ‘purveyors of exquisite sandwiches’ have opened up a brand-new city centre spot, now calling Portland Street home. For anyone who had the pleasure of grabbing a Fat Pat’s sub during their Chorlton stint, you’ll almost certainly know that tagline is justified and then some.
