From indecorous cabaret comedy routines to hilarious stand-up for parents and newborns, The Edge hosts a diverse programme of unmissable performances to suit every taste throughout July.

Tickle Your Fancy | Thu 6 Jul | 7.30pm | £13/£15 OTD

Presented by Doolally, Chorlton’s ‘gem of a cabaret night’ Tickle Your Fancy offers a night of exciting turns and joyous pomp with comedy, music, spoken word and more on Thu 6 Jul. This time, multi-award-winning ‘rising star’ (The Sun) and proud northern working-class gay man Stephen Bailey brings his deliciously vulgar brand of gossipy humour to The Edge having supported some of the biggest names in stand-up, including Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican.

Mum's The Word Comedy Club | Fri 7 Jul | 1pm | £12/£10 (under-18 months free)

Precision-engineered for parents and newborns – or any family members with a qualifying baby in tow – comedian and new mother Katie Mulgrew hosts an afternoon of adult-oriented comedy in a relaxed environment where feeding, changing and nursing is permitted and there’s no pressure to apologetically bundle screaming toddlers down the aisle. With ‘comedy coursing through her veins’ (The Metro), Mulgrew gathers some of the best comics on the circuit for a merciful hour of laughter for over-18s and under-18 months.

Ernie's Incredible Illucinations by Alan Ayckbourn | Thu 13 Jul - Sat 15 Jul | 3pm, 7.30pm | £12/6

Running from Thu 13-Sat 15 Jul, the enchanting Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations is presented by The Edge in association with The Booth Centre, a resident performance company of actors with lived experience of homelessness.

Check out the Q&A with The Edge’s Creative Director, Janine Waters, in which she talks about Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations and their vital partnership with the Booth Centre.
