There’s a fresh batch of work in progress shows across the city including Hannah Platt and Dan Tiernan, plus there’s a new bitcoin/wellness comedy night called GMIM.
Another night, another preview, this time from another hotly tipped new(ish) comic in Dan Tiernan. Dan will be taking his debut hour up to the Fringe this year and with wins in the BBC New Comedy Award and British Comedian of the Year in his back pocket, expectations are high. The good news is Dan is brilliant and such a force of great comedy to watch live. Treat yourself to this free evening on Deansgate and see what all the fuss is about.
Comedians Eryn Tett and Cameron Jones have been popping up at comedy nights around Manchester recently trying to sell their multi-levelled marketing/crypto/wellness/absolute scam of a company known as GMIM. We’re still not entirely sure what the night will entail (other than ticket holders earn some kind of cryptocurrency just from paying entry!) but we do know that it’ll be hilariously poking holes in the world of MLMs and bitcoin. Or they take us all away on a spaceship. Who’s to know?!

Blizzard Comedy is back at The Castle Hotel for a double Edinburgh Preview to kick the week off really nicely. Cerys Bradley delves within to discover whether they caused their parents divorce or if they were too mean to their work colleagues in a silly and surreal stand-up show. Alongside them Hannah Platt will take a look at her own past to see where she’s going right and wrong. If it helps, they’re both very funny so shouldn’t worry too much about that part, just the various social faux pas they’ve made in the past.
