XS Malarkey continue their fine run of Edinburgh Fringe previews with another cracking pair in Jack Barry and Alison Spittle. The latter will be diving deep into her own psyche with ‘Wet’ as Spittle wrestles with her love of peace whilst also enjoying watching chip shop smackdowns, whereas Jack Barry twists minds and words with ‘Don’t Happy Be Worry’. A rallying cry for our troubled times.

Eryn Tett and Alfie Carter share hosting duties at this new comedy night launching at Lock91. There’s an excellent pick of the latest of crop of brilliant Manchester based comedians including Anna Thomas, Dan Tiernan, Simon Lomas and Bexie Archer. Go see the stars of tomorrow.

If you’d like to see a couple of more seasoned pros strut their stuff then make sure you catch this powerhouse of a double bill in Didsbury to close out the week. Justin Moorhouse presents his new show ‘Stretch & Think’ before taking it to the Fringe, and Rob Rouse will be doing likewise with ‘No Refunds’. Not that you’ll be asking for such things from this pair.
