John Meagher brings his critically-acclaimed show to GRUB, Athena Kugblenu headlines XS Malarkey and there’s more comedian stitch-ups at Title Fight.
Manchester’s finest innovators converge once more in the intimate ‘dining room’ of GRUB for another bout at Title Fight. An evening where comedians are paired and must give each other a title to write a show about, this month’s instalment includes appearances from Charlotte Cropper, Alfie Carter and Justina Seselskaite.
We’re back at GRUB on Friday night for an evening with Irish comedian John Meagher and his critically-acclaimed debut tour show Big Year. Dubbed ‘The next great Irish comedian’ by Rolling Stone, it’s a show about Anglo-Irish relations, class, the inability of men to deal with their feelings and what to do if you are ever interrogated by the police. It’s also a love story, so something for everyone.

Athena Kugblenu headlines another cracking lineup at XS Malarkey this week as she joins Faye Treacy, Stephen Catling, host Toby Hadoke and more to be announced. There aren’t many comedy clubs where you can get such incredible acts following each other, but XS Malarkey is unlike most and at just £6 (£3 for members) it’s a show it must be protected at all costs.
