Josh Baulf brings his new work in progress to town, we celebrate Manchester’s best free comedy night and Lachlan Werner is bringing ventriloquism back.
Puppets and horror seem to go hand in hand, so it’s strange you don’t see more ventriloquists dabbling in the more macabre side of comedy. Rising star Lachlan Werner is here to right that wrong with his debut UK tour of his critically-acclaimed sell-out Edinburgh show, Voices of Evil. Lachy, a self-described ‘poof’, brings his marionette ‘Brew’, a witch, to vivid life and performs paranormal tricks and treats for a raucous evening of comedy and damn fine voice throwing.
Possibly better known for his ubiquitous tiktok and instagram videos, viral sensation Josh Baulf really comes to life on the stand-up stage. A winner of multiple comedy awards, he brings his sophomore work in progress show to Fierce Bar to road test it ahead of this August’s Edinburgh Fringe. He amassed 5 star reviews for his debut ‘Bulldog’ and this new show looks at his recent milestone birthday and how someone who is very online can stay relevant in an increasingly fast moving world.
