Kiri Pritchard-McLean is back to bring Suspiciously Cheap comedy to Salford, there’s a double bill from Luisa Omielan and Josh Jones takes over the Laughienda.

Suspiciously Cheap Comedy at New Adelphi Theatre | Mon 24 Apr | 7.30pm | £3/5

Salford University’s greatest export (sorry, Peter Kay) returns to its Alma Mater as Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Goose take over the New Adelphi Theatre for an excellent night of new material for a bargain basement price. Joining Kiri and her Goose cohorts trying out new stuff will be Stephen Bailey, Lauren Pattison and rising star Seeta Wrightson. Always a top night, no need for suspicion.

Luisa Omielan at The Frog & Bucket | Tue 25 Apr | 7pm & 8.45pm | £10-15

Luisa Omielan presents a double bill of her new productions this Tuesday to premiere a work-in-progress stand-up show followed by current tour show “God Is A Woman: The Musical”. Each show costs only a tenner, with both for £15 to really get some bang for your buck. Omielan never disappoints with her infectious energy and searingly honest takes on modern politics, with this new double bill she’ll be testing her mettle in the best possible way.

Josh Jones at The Laughięnda | Thu 27 Apr | 7.30pm | Free

Another work-in-progress show coming to Manchester from one of the city’s favourite sons as Josh Jones takes over The Laughięnda for a night of his new work “Gobsmacked”. As the Edinburgh Festival Fringe gets increasingly expensive for punters and performers alike, most folks will see these previews as the best chance to see these new shows if even in their pupal form. Josh is such a talent that no matter what shape this WIP is in, it’s sure to be a great night.
