A packed midweek of comedy perks up a rather dreary looking few days of Mancunian weather with Maisie Adam a particular stand out.

Maisie Adam at XS Malarkey | Tue 17 May | 7.30pm | £3/6

Maisie Adam headlines a jam-packed bill at XS Malarkey this week with exciting prospects Patrick Carmody, Jack Dorian and the mononym known as ‘Riggs’. XS prides itself on its stellar headliners, of which Maisie is the latest in a long line of great ones, but they also stack the lineup with future stars you may never have heard—you’re in more than capable hands though, as guests can always trust in MC Toby Hadoke and co’s impeccable taste.

Amy Mason at Comedy For Hot People | Thu 19 May | 7.30pm | £3.83-15

Comedy For Hot People is back for the second time in a month to beautify the stand-up scene in the city with the likes of Amy Mason, Jordan Ducharme and Molly McGuinness. Headliner Mason has credits including The Now Show, The News Quiz and Hypothetical as well as appearing in the final of Funny Women in 2018, which in comedy scene time is actually only two years ago. An emotionally raw and imaginative comic, Mason has been blazing a trail in the always strong Bristol scene for a good while and it’s about time Manchester had a taste.
