There’s some dead cheap options for comedy this week which if you’re being frugal you still will have saved even if you hit all three shows.

Suspiciously Cheap Comedy ft. Lucy Beaumont | Mon 14 Oct | 7pm | £5/3

Although Kiri Pritchard-McLean and her Gein’s Family Giftshop co-horts have gone on to huge things in their comedy careers, they have thankfully never forgotten their roots. Heading back to the University where they met to provide the kind of astounding yet affordable comedy night they wished was available when they were studying. This month’s instalment sees Lucy Beaumont, Huge Davies, Peter Fleming, Stephen Bailey, Gein’s, Goose and Kiri herself holding things together trying out new things at New Adelphi Theatre for just a fiver. Cheaper and more fulfilling than any education.

XS Malarkey with Athena Kugblenu | Tue 15 Oct | 7.30pm | £5/3

A finalist of the coveted BBC New Comedy Award and regular co-host of hit podcast The Guilty Feminist, Athena Kugblenu is certainly one to watch both for the future and, thanks to XS Malarkey, right now. She’ll be headlining The Bread Shed comedy show for the first time and ably supported by Simon Lomas and Katy Price, with ol’ Toby Hadoke holding things together in between.

Chorlton Chuckles with Tom Ward | Fri 18 Oct | 7.30pm | £7/10

You might recognise Tom Ward from the viral videos in which he gets a little too close to celebrities ‘In My Personal Space’, though you’ll just as likely remember him from the various stand-up shows he’s appeared on such as Roast Battle, Rob Delaney’s Stand up Central and Sara Pascoe’s Live at the Comedy Store.  Now heading to Chorlton for their monthly ‘chuckles’ at the South West Manchester Cricket Club with support from Manchester rising star Jamie Hutchinson.
