Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees The Delightful Sausage headline XS Malarkey, Harriet Dyer’s ‘DinoTour’ stops off at The Old Monkey, and Danielle Ward’s panel show podcast gets a live outing.

The Delightful Sausage at XS Malarkey | Tue 19 Nov | 7.30pm | £6/3

After a stand out performance of Harry Hill’s ClubNite last week, Yorkshire’s finest shitkickers The Delightful Sausage are headlining XS Malarkey for the first time. Fresh off the back of their Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for best show, this will act as a dry run for their Soho Theatre stint in December and a tour in the New Year. Weird, thoughtful and gutbustingly funny, the Sausage have been likened to everyone from Reeves and Mortimer to The Mighty Boosh. Always a must.

Harriet Dyer: The Dinosaur Show | Wed 20 Nov | 7.30pm | £6

There are few comedians stranger than Harriet Dyer, and even fewer as downright hilarious. A gem of the Manchester comedy scene with her mental health awareness night ‘Barking Tales’, Dyer never fails to disappoint and her new show in which she dresses as a dinosaur to sing songs and regale us with wild stories is her most Dyer show yet.

Manchester Podcast Festival: Do The Right Thing | Sat 23 Nov | 7pm | £18

Comedians Danielle Ward, Michael Legge and Margaret Cabourn-Smith bring their award-winning panel show podcast to a live audience this weekend. The first show to take place in Manchester will feature special guests plucked from the scene up here as they attempt to work out the right thing to do in some very strange scenarios. For fans of the podcast it’s a must, for the uninitiated it might just become your new favourite listen.
