Sam Lake headlines a spectacular Blizzard Comedy show on Monday and then Stephen Bailey is at XS Malarkey on Tuesday to start your week with some top notch stand-up.

Sam Lake at Blizzard Comedy | Mon 12 Sep | 7pm | FREE

After a very impressive Fringe debut with his show ‘Cake’ (and frankly one of the best posters…see above), Sam Lake heads to Blizzard Comedy for a well-earned headline slot. He recently won the prestigious Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year award and has been featured on Newsjack and Mock the Week. A perfect time to get in to the snug at Gullivers and say you can see him back when after his star rises exponentially.

Stephen Bailey at XS Malarkey | Tue 13 Sep | 7.30pm | £3/6

Manchester is really spoiling you this week for great lineups so early on as Stephen Bailey leads the lineup at XS Malarkey on Tuesday. One of Manchester’s best comics of the last few years Bailey has appeared on Live at The Apollo, The Stand-Up Sketch Show and a host of other shows including a stint on Celebrity Coach Trip with Brennan Reece! He is always a delight and to catch him at XS’s ridiculously low prices is a real treat.

Comedy For Hot People at The Fitzgerald | Thu 15 Sep | 7.30pm | PWYW

The always excellent Comedy For Hot People makes a return to The Fitzgerald after founders Erika Ehler and Michael Mannion took on Edinburgh in August. The two of them will be joined on this homecoming show by Kathryn Henson, Samee Anibaba and Chortle Student Comedy Award winner Joe Kent Walters. Pay what you feel for some top notch comedy that also allows uggos in if they’re nice.
