Free things to do in Manchester this week ft. Salsa Social, tap takeover at Port Street Beer House, Christmas Carols + more

Peter Street mega bar Revolucion de Cuba hosts its final salsa social of 2019 this Wednesday evening. Whatever your ability, there’s a free salsa class for you – with beginners classes running from 6.30pm and intermediate from 7.30pm. Attendance also gives you free entry to the bar’s latin music night, which runs through til the small hours of the morning.

Beer aficionados Port Street Beer House host a tap takeover this Thursday, with guest brewer Burning Sky coming along to ply their wares. Based in the town of Firle – nestled in the countryside between Brighton and Eastbourne – Burning Sky brewery offers a strong range of brews including an alcohol-lite Petite Saison and their Easy Answers IPA.

Also on Thursday, you can get into the Christmas spirit with this free carol concert courtesy of some of the musicians from Manchester Camerata. XYZ Social in Spinningfields hosts this concert, which promises Brass Quintet renditions of many of your Christmas favourites, alongside some festive pop treats.
