A community clay sculpting project and live music from Purple Heart Parade at Wilderness Record Store are some of the best free things to do in Manchester this week.
Wilderness Record Store are once again hosting some of Manchester’s coolest music talent. This Tuesday evening, see dreamy psychedelic band Purple Heart Parade play alongside planets for an evening of low-key home-grown talent.
This workshop, run by Manchester Craft and Design Centre’s resident ceramist Katherine Lees, offers a chance to shape and mould clay to be added to a large scale collaborative clay sculpture. The workshop is suitable for beginner level children aged 5 and over, and it can get messy, so make sure to dress appropriately!
Professor Chris Lintott will be giving a talk on his latest book, Zooniverse: The Crowd and the Cosmos. The book is a highly readable introduction to the Zooniverse, focusing on modern astronomy. He will be signing copies of the book following his talk.
