The Whitworth Art Gallery is hosting a hands-on creative studio from Monday to Friday this week, open every day from 10am-2pm. The studio will have nuts, bolts, tools, and a host of other objects available for you to play with and create.

This workshop, run by Manchester Craft and Design Centre’s resident ceramist Katherine Lees, offers a chance to shape and mould clay to be added to a large scale collaborative clay sculpture. The workshop is suitable for beginner level children aged 5 and over, and it can get messy, so make sure to dress appropriately!

Professor Chris Lintott Talk + Book Signing | Manchester Metropolitan University | Thu 20 Feb | 7pm - 9pm

Professor Chris Lintott will be giving a talk on his latest book, Zooniverse: The Crowd and the Cosmos. The book is a highly readable introduction to the Zooniverse, focusing on modern astronomy. He will be signing copies of the book following his talk.
