Don’t be disheartened if you weren’t able to wrangle Glastonbury Fest tickets, as this week in Manchester is absolutely filled to the brim when it comes to cracking events and goings-on that won’t blow the bank.
From Carhartt X SOUP parties to a three-day community fest at Kampus – here’s our rundown of the five best free things to do in Manchester this week…
Head to NOMA this Thursday to check out this weekly club that’s all about exploring all the different elements of Yoga from the physical practice and breath to meditation, philosophy & beyond.
All levels of experience are welcome, simply bring a mat and wear something comfy.
No Glastonbury? No problem!
Once again, Nell’s are bringing Glastonbury vibes to Manchester with Kampus Fest, transforming the Kampus Gardens into a city centre festival site for a free three-day party featuring a live stream of Glastonbury festival all weekend, outdoor tequila bars, whole hog carnitas BBQ from Madre, happy hours, Nell’s Pizza and free pool at Salon Madre.
Swing by the Carhartt WIP this Saturday for a short but oh-so-sweet SOUP collab, the latter of which will be kicking off their 15th birthday celebrations – a feat not easily achieved for an independent music venue and club.
Selectors include the likes of Emby, Florentino, KD22LR, atalaya and Hannah O’Gorman to soundtrack the daytime party.
If you’ve yet to check out CULT SOUNDS Listening Café – Salford and Manchesters home for vinyl lovers and underground sounds – then see this weekend as your sign.
Every Sunday, the cafe is transformed into a space to immerse yourself in carefully curated Listening Café Sessions, where vinyl DJs from local record labels spin the finest in underground house.
Expect rotating DJs, exclusive label takeovers, and special CULT SOUNDS Invites — all designed to serve deep vibes and sonic discovery.

Ezra & Gil are set to celebrate a huge milestone this week as the beloved brunch go-to spot will be turning 10 on Thursday.
Promising to ‘make a whole thing of it’, they’ll be rolling out some proper good birthday celebrations at both of their Manchester sites: 200 free Flake 99s at Hilton Street from 11am, as well as 100 free cakes at Peter Street, for both sit in and takeaway orders from 9am.
