If, like us, you’re counting down the days until Thursday when you’re back basking in your favourite beer garden, you might be surprised to hear that there are plenty of other things to look forward to this week too.
As it finally begins to feel a bit like summer again, Levenshulme Pride returns from Fri – Sun this week as it takes over various venues in the suburb. There’s also a vino and vinyl evening at Provence and a chance to get outside and practice some yoga. As always, all the events listed are completely free to attend.
There’s nothing quite like pouring yourself a glass of wine as your favourite record crackles and spins on the turntable. Whether it’s a blush rose and Kylie, or a bold red and Nick Drake, Provence’s Vino & Vinyl evening welcomes wax only DJs from 6pm paired with a curated menu of wine to match the genre each week. Expect £5 glasses, £15 carafes and £20 bottles, alongside sharing boards and charcuterie.
Levenshulme Pride returns for a three-day celebration this weekend with a programme of free events and activities. Taking over venues including Isca, Station South, Fred’s Ale House, The Talleyrand, Nordie and more, there’ll be dog shows, a pride run, craft activities and a march at 2pm on Saturday.
This pay-as-you-feel yoga classes is hosted every Friday in the tranquil setting of Platt Fields Park. Suitable for all levels, you’ll be guided through a vinyasa flow practice with tutor Chels for 45 minutes as you end the final morning of the week feeling peaceful, refreshed and rejuvenated.
The second Saturday of the month marks Stockport’s Makers Market. Taking over Market Place in the heart of the town, you’ll find food, crafts, clothing, candles, prints and more to browse from local, independent makers. You can also pop into Stockport Market for free, and pay any of the town’s spectacular surrounding pubs a visit for a well-deserved pint of ale.
