Far Eastern favourites, Tampopo, will be celebrating Katsu Curry Day this year by giving away 400 free curries across its four Manchester locations to give fans of the iconic Japanese dish a chance to tuck into some proper good scran completely free.
Special popup Katsu Curry Hubs will be stationed outside all of Tampopo’s locations across Greater Manchester – Albert Square, The Corn Exchange, The Trafford Centre Restaurant and The Trafford Centre Kiosk – this Friday where 100 free curries will be served up from 11am – 1pm.
But you’ll need to hurry for the currry as when the free Katsus are gone – they’re gone!
Swing by Band on the Wall’s new Copper Bar for their next La Fiesta session, this time with Chilli Chacha who brings unique and fresh interpretations of soul, R&B, jazz, reggae and Afrobeats tunes.
With influences like Tina Turner, Angelique Kidjo and Fela Kuti, her high-energy performances are always sure to light up the room.
If you’ve yet to make plans for this weekend, look no further than YES for an exciting antics Clubnight x French Electro Spezial taking place in the buzzing basement from 11pm till late.
Expect bangers from the likes of Daft Punk, Phoenix, M83, Bicp, The Chemical Brothers, The Rapture, Tame Impala and LCD Soundsystem playing all through the night.
Sunday sees a fantastic queer takeover of Manchester Art Gallery, exploring themes around sex, intimacy, desire, respect and consent within the LGBT+ community.
Part of the Recoverist Month event programme, artist Harold Offeh will be bringing his Let’s Talk About Chemsex project to MAG, in a one-day collaboration with five international artists: Valentin Ranger (Paris/London), Ghetto Fabulous (Manchester), mandla (Manchester), Daniel Rey (Venezuela/London) and Sam Cottingham (London/Frankfurt).
