From spoken word nights over in Spinnigfields to dance parties that will have you grooving until the early hours – here’s our rundown for the best free things to do in Manchester this week…
If you’ve yet to check out Salford’s Paradise Works then this is the perfect chance to go along to see the venue’s latest exhibition.
Artists Anna Clough and Nicole Sheppard will discuss their current exhibition Muck & the Mire, offering insight into individual works and overarching themes of the project which is all about highlighting edgeland spaces, entanglement and materiality.
Kick off the weekend over at YES where you can see DISCO PUSS return to the famous Pink Room for yet another fun-filled night of ‘Disco-flavoured scrumptiousness’.
Attendees can expect incredible sets from SEZ BENNY, BRICKY MORTAR and Rich Reason that will be sure to have you grooving well into the early hours.
Oh yeah, and the first few to show up get free kitty ears to help sweeten the deal.
If you’re after something a little artier this weekend then look no further than Mx Spinningfields which will be hosting a killer Bring Your Own Booze spoken word event.
Poets and spoken word artists will perform throughout the night so go along for the good vibes, the good people and a proper good time.
Park up over at Ramona this Saturday for a cracking six-hour SONIO SOUNDS takeover featuring the likes of Egg On Toast, GLOSS, Jordan Villa and Spinelli donning the decks and spinning all the best dance tunes throughout the evening.
Swing by, have a groove to some of Manchester’s most compelling selectors and join in for what is promised to be ‘an evening full of delights’.

Shake up the working week over at Levenhulme’s Station South for some interactive and creative fun with drinks, music and, obviously, lots of drawing with Overdrawn.
Hosted by local artist Pete Obsolete, Overdrawn is a great opportunity to try your hand at live art and let your inner creativity run wild.
