If the current situation in Hong Kong has got you scratching your head, you can check out this free explanatory talk at the University of Manchester’s Humanities building. Open to the public as well as students, University of Hong Kong professor John Carroll will take you through the tactics and promotional materials used by anti-government protesters, and also talk a little about how they reflect earlier protests under British colonial rule.
