A free Sunday morning yoga session at Lululemon and a Foilco workshop are some of our picks for the best free things to do in Manchester this weekend.
Local singer-songwriters Lindsay Munroe and Hannah Ashcroft will perform live at Wilderness Record Store this Saturday. Lindsay Munroe’s introspective lyrics and swaggering guitar music is reminiscent of Laura Marling, while Hannah Ashcroft explores themes of humanity, mythology and superstition with her intricate and haunting melodies.
Lauren Crowder, a highly qualified yoga teacher, will be teaching a 60 minute energising ashtanga and vinyasa flow to start your Sunday morning off. The class will be adapted to suit the skill level of whoever is attending, so no worries if you’re a beginner – this free session is a great chance to try yoga out in a relaxed environment.
This workshop introduces attendees to the world of hot foil in print, using hot stamping foils, as well as modern foil equivalents such as toner foiling. You can explore the foiling tools and equipment and create some truly amazing and unique artwork. This is is a fantastic opportunity to try something creative and a little unusual – who knows what you might make? Explore more February Cultureplex events here.
