We may find ourselves in Lockdown 2.0 right now – but we can still dream of the return of live music come 2021. Many bands have rescheduled and organised UK tours for next year and here we’ve rounded up some of our favourites. Lancaster’s finest The Lovely Eggs follow up their sold out Gorilla gig in February with a date at the O2 Ritz. The two-piece lo-fi psychedelic punk rock band formed of married couple Holly Ross and David Blackwell will take the stage on Sunday 30 May in this rescheduled gig. Newcastle indie-rock heroes Maximo Park celebrate the release of their 2021 album Nature Always Wins with a series of gigs next summer. The legendary English 2 Tone band The Specials bring their 2021 tour to Manchester on Thursday 9 September. Playing the O2 Victoria Warehouse, this is guaranteed to be an amazing gig celebrating 43 years since the band’s formation in 1977. Orlando Weeks first came to prominence as the vocalist of The Maccabees. Now a solo artist and following the release of his 2020 debut album The Quickening – Weeks comes to Manchester for a show on Friday 22 October.
