Paris-based videomakers La Blogothque continue their livestream series of Stay Away Shows this week with sets from artists on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 April. Taking place via Instagram live on their official profile, you can tune in from 6pm (BST) to see Australian trio Skegss on Tuesday evening and indie folk artist UMA on Thursday. These streams are free to watch however donations towards the acts can be made on the Dice website here.
Young singer-songwriter and American Idol alumna Catie Turner takes part in Cover Nation’s Takeover Tuesday this week. On Tuesday 13 April from 11pm, catch Catie performing her favourite covers (plus some of her own work) on the Youtube. Link below.
Blackpool’s Bootleg Social presents a livestream gig featuring some great Manc acts this week. On Friday 16 April, watch post-punk DEAFDEAFDEAF and ‘Manchester noise’ Slap Rash perform sets from 7:15pm. The stream will be free to watch via Bootleg’s Facebook page, Twitch or Youtube channel. Rounding off our week, Leeds-based saxophonist, composer and arranger Emma Johnson invites us to her studio livestream going live via Facebook this Sunday 18 April from 7:30pm. Join Emma, Fergus Vickers, Richard Jones, Angus Milne and Steve Hanley aka Gravy Boat as they begin to record their debut album.
